Check American Canyon ZIP Code Directory

Postal geography is a starting point, not a map of every city record. Standardize the address first, then check the parcel, the city boundary, and the record custodian separately. Local postal geography can include edges that do not match incorporated limits, and one code can serve homes, businesses, industry, and post-office boxes at the same time. A useful American Canyon ZIP code directory search groups addresses first, then moves on to an APN, a precinct, a permit, a deed, or a city record.

American Canyon ZIP Codes and Coverage

Only one ZIP is verified for ordinary American Canyon delivery in the research record. It covers several kinds of address and can touch nearby postal geography. That makes the ZIP useful for standardizing a mailing label, but not enough to decide whether a parcel lies inside the incorporated city or which agency holds an older permit. A ZIP code directory should state that limit at the start.

No authoritative second ZIP, ZIP split, or realignment date was located. Do not add one to an American Canyon ZIP code directory from a generic city list. Verify each address through the postal service, then use county GIS or the Census and LAFCO boundary references for municipal status.

American Canyon ZIP Code 94503

The American Canyon Post Office at 310 Crawford Way is listed with weekday retail hours from 10 to 1 and 2 to 4, Saturday hours from 10 to 1, and services that include ordinary delivery, PO Box Online, Label Broker, parking, fingerprinting, and in-person identity proofing. Call 707-642-3071 before relying on a retail schedule.

The USPS ZIP Code Lookup supports address and city-state verification. A ZIP Code Directory result should preserve the standardized street spelling, unit, mailing city, ZIP, and any ZIP+4 returned by USPS. That standardized label is useful when an address does not match an assessor autocomplete.

ZIP 94503 groups postal delivery. It does not identify a person, establish ownership, prove occupancy, or replace an APN. Those questions belong to other records.

The USPS result screen is the first checkpoint in a ZIP-based address trail. The Napa property-tax lookup is a separate property-key route.

The county tax lookup may accept a property key while intentionally suppressing owner names and addresses online, so postal and property searches should not be confused.

American Canyon ZIP Address Check

A ZIP code directory search has two separate checks. USPS answers where mail is routed. Napa County GIS answers where land sits. Start with the exact address in USPS, then enter the standardized form in the American Canyon public web map. Turn on city limits, sphere of influence, urban limit, sewer and water service, county boundary, and other relevant layers.

Property Search accepts an address or ASMT. The viewer can identify parcels, create a parcel report, use NearMe in feet or miles, display an attribute table, export a public layer, and print or share a map. No owner-name or mailing field was observed. Keep the APN and legal description, because they are more durable than a postal label.

For a parcel report, begin with the street number and wait for the address list. If the GIS result sits outside the city boundary, repeat a permit or code search with Napa County PBES even when the mailing city says American Canyon.

American Canyon ZIP Records and Assessor Limits

Napa's Megabyte portal offers FEE PARCEL, ASSESSMENT, STREET ADDRESS, and AIRCRAFT TAIL# searches with one Search Term field. It does not offer owner-name or ZIP-wide web search. The tax portal can search by property key but suppresses names and addresses in public results. This is a deliberate limit, not a missing trick.

Use a ZIP to group standardized addresses, then search each address or APN. When a group is too large for manual work, ask the Assessor about a current data product or a focused public-record request. The county's property gateway and GIS provide map and parcel context, while the recorder's index is based on full name and dates. That keeps the ZIP code directory grounded in verified addresses.

The American Canyon Laserfiche repository is the source link for the municipal-record image; the county tax lookup explanation makes online name suppression visible.

The city's Laserfiche repository can hold municipal records, but its JavaScript interface was not inspected for exact fields or coverage. Use it as a public repository link, then contact the City Clerk for a defined existing record.

American Canyon ZIP Code Boundary Check

ZIP geography and municipal geography are different systems. “American Canyon, CA 94503” describes postal routing. It does not by itself prove that the parcel lies within the incorporated city, that a permit belongs to American Canyon Community Development, or that a county record was transferred after annexation.

The Paoli and Watson edge shows why the distinction matters. A roughly 83-acre project east of State Route 29 and Paoli Loop was in unincorporated Napa County, within the city sphere and service area, with annexation intended. Watson Ranch covers about 309 acres in northeastern American Canyon, north of Vintage Ranch, east of the rail line, and generally south of Watson Lane. A postal address can remain stable while the custodian changes.

Boundary rule. Use USPS for delivery, GIS for the parcel and city limit, and the responsible agency's record system for permits, codes, or archives.

For a boundary reference, the Census legal-boundary map and Napa GIS should be read with the current parcel layers. No ZIP split or realignment date was verified, so historical claims should use APN, legal description, and filed map rather than a guessed ZIP history.

American Canyon ZIP Records and Custodians

Incorporation on June 1, 1992 and the 1998 American Canyon Road and Flosden Road annexation affect older record trails. Pre-1992 files may be indexed under Napa Junction or Napa County. Newer city records may sit with American Canyon. A parcel at a fringe can require both systems.

For city records, the City Clerk handles council archives, ordinances, resolutions, agreements, campaign disclosures, municipal licenses, and records not already posted. Community Development handles planning, building, inspections, subdivision maps, design review, and code enforcement. Napa County PBES is the parallel route for county-held Building, Planning, Engineering, Well, wastewater, Conservation, and inspection files.

A ZIP is therefore a useful first filter but a poor final custodian key. Check the boundary before filing a request under the California Public Records Act. Identify an existing record with the address, APN, date range, or project number; an agency is not required to build a new ZIP resident list.

American Canyon ZIP and APN Records

An APN is an assessment parcel number. It can survive a changed mailing label, subdivision, merger, annexation, or community-name change better than the ZIP line. Napa GIS documentation describes APNs without dashes for parcel reports, while older documents may use a different presentation. Preserve both the formatted value and the source.

Filed maps connect the APN to lots, blocks, legal descriptions, corners, and book-page references. The recorder's deed chain connects those references to parties and dates. A ZIP code directory search becomes durable when the postal label is only the first field in that chain.

American Canyon examples include APNs beginning with 058 or 059 for schools, parks, creeks, and planned areas, but the digits should not be interpreted without assessor documentation. Use the parcel report, not a guessed meaning, to identify the land.

American Canyon ZIP Lookup Privacy

California privacy rules limit what a ZIP can reveal. Safe at Home provides eligible participants a substitute mailing address and confidential forwarding or voter handling. The online tax roll suppresses names and addresses. My Voter Status is a personal lookup, and full voter files require a qualified purpose. The public map exposes parcels and layers but no observed owner or mailing field.

California's Consumer Privacy Act and Delete Act provide rights and a DROP mechanism for registered data-broker copies, subject to exceptions. Removing a broker record does not remove the source record held by Napa County, American Canyon, a court, or an archive. Use the custodian's correction or privacy process for a source record.

The Napa property privacy guidance explains why public property information and online display are not identical.

American Canyon ZIP code directory property records and privacy

A ZIP group is for lawful address research, family history, civic notice, and property context. Do not use a ZIP, name, or parcel clue to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.

American Canyon ZIP and PO Boxes

94503 serves ordinary delivery and PO boxes at the American Canyon Post Office. A PO Box proves a delivery relationship, not a situs parcel or residence. A business may use a PO Box, a person may receive mail elsewhere, and a mailing label may point outside the incorporated boundary. Keep PO-box clues in the postal column of a ZIP code directory table.

When the question turns to land, switch to GIS and APN. When it turns to a family event, use Napa or California vital records. When it turns to a historical household, use Napa Junction, Polk, Great Register, newspaper, obituary, and cemetery searches. When it turns to a municipal record, confirm the city-limit layer first.

There is no verified unique ZIP, PO-box-only ZIP, second ZIP, carrier-route directory, or ZIP-wide resident list for American Canyon in the research record. Honest limits make the ZIP code directory more useful because the next step is clear.
